    YogalatesTM                Yoga                Pilates                Meditation

    Body Awakenings is a team of high quality, professional and compassionate teachers and therapists dedicated to provide their students with a supportive and nurturing environment. Our classes are limited numbers so we can provide personal guidance and encouragement for you to work within your own limits and extend towards your potential.

    Yoga/Pilates/Yogalates classes - all classes are casual visits welcome
    :
    5 week course $75
    (consecutive class prepaid booking -same class/teacher each week)
    5 class open pass $85 (non-consecutive, any yoga/pilates/yogalates class, 6 week expiry)  ($75 for pensioners/concession)
    10 class open pass $150
    (non-consecutive, any yoga/pilates/yogalates class, 6 week expiry - for twice a week attendees only)
    Casual class visit $20

    Meditation classes
    :
    *Lunchtime Fridays 12.10-1pm $15 casual + $5 to stay for Meditation 1.00-1.30pm
    Guided Meditation 5 week course is $120
    Meditation & Buddhism classes are voluntary donation $14

    As a new client you are required to fill in a brief and confidential pre‐exercise questionnaire summarising prior or current health conditions or injuries.  Please print off & fill in our New Client Form or arrive 5 minutes early to fill one in.  It is important you continue to update your teachers before class of any recent injury, illness, surgery or pregnancy.  As a student it is important that you take responsbility and be aware of your own personal limitations during practice, approach all exercises and postures consciously using the guidelines provided by the teacher.

    General Classes - Yoga, Pilates & YogalatesTM
    Suitable for both men and women, and all fitness levels catered for, beginners are welcome.  Our numbers are limited so please book your first class as some classes are near reaching their limit.  Our classes focus on strengthening and stabilising the pelvis and spine (core stability) and protection of the lower back.  They are designed to challenge the body and mind and connect the breath with strength and movement.  The classes running for 75mins and 90 mins end with up to 15 minutes meditation.  All classes are supported by music from traditional Eastern to contemporary Western.  For more details on the styles taught in each class visit Our Teachers page.

    Over 50's Classes - Yoga & YogalatesTM
    Classes are suitable for any age and cater for all fitness levels and are specifically in mind for those who have not practiced yoga before.  If you have any injuries or conditions requiring rehabilitation or modifications our teachers are highly qualified and supportive in your needs.  You may be required to seek referral from your health care provider before commencing classes should you have an acute condition.  These classes are a really fun and interative way to enjoy yoga.  Benefits include reducing high blood pressure, incontinence, anxiety, insomnia and improving blood circulation, internal organ function, menopausal symptoms, strength and flexibility of joints to assist with osteoporosis and arthritis.

    Prenatal YogalatesTM Classes
    Suitable to attend from 13 weeks (earlier if you've attended a regular Yoga or Pilates practice prior to your pregnancy) to full term.  The classes include gentle exercises to increase flexibility in the hip and groin area, with the use of Therabands to strengthen upperback, shoulders and arms, awareness and strengthening of the pelvic floor and pelvic stability to protect lower back.   Nicole's special affinity with Prenatal care, blessed to have assisted in several birthing experiences, has provided her with useful tools and insights to share with her students.  Providing students with a peaceful environment and deep awareness of their own body and breath.  With the use of breathing and meditation techniques to deepen the relationship with unborn baby & mother, assisting individuals to discover their inner strength - and inner peace.

    Restorative YogalatesTM classes
    A gentle style of yoga where poses move gently and mindfully to release stress and blockages within the body. Great for those wanting to restore after emotional or physical injury or tension. Connect Mind, Body & Soul.

    Mums'n Bubs YogalatesTM classes
    Mums n Bubs Yogalates focuses on strengthening core muscles in order to protect lower back and improve pelvic stability; releases tension in the hips and groin; develops subtle pelvic floor muscles, all whist spending time with baby, and enhancing overall wellbeing.

    Guided Meditation classes
    Peter's classes assist developing self-awareness by practicing meditation and visualisation techniques to gain personal insight.  Calm your mind, body and emotions, relieve stress.  Receive instant feedback and support in your healing and growth.  Participation is limited to a small group to ensure a personalised, engaging and rewarding experience for the individual.   Classes run for 5 weeks and require pre-bookings and payment of $120.

    Meditation & Buddhism Classes
    These classes are held by the Mahasiddha Kadampa Buddhist Centre @ Body Awakenings studio.  They provide a comfortable and relaxed environment in which people from all walks of life can learn about meditation and Buddhism.   Suitable for those whether seeking simple relaxation to those who wish to find lasting inner peace and contentment through following the Buddhist path.
