Welcome to Body Awakenings, my name is Rachael Farrelly and I am passionate about providing a space and practice where every person that visits this studio feels welcome and supported. I hope that your experience with us is one in which you can learn more about building a state of health and well-being through breath focus techniques, mindfulness and the physical practice of yoga. I believe yoga is for every body type, age and level of fitness. Beginners can attend all our classes as our experienced teaching can provide modifications for each student in our small group setting. We frequently hold beginners workshops and can notify you of the next date.

200hr YTT - Diploma Community Services - Holistic Counselling & Psychotherapy - Principles of Non Violent Communication
Domna began practising yoga in 2012 after completing her training in metaphysics and energy work. She grew to love the practice which enhanced the experiential connection of mind, body and spirit. After some years of deepening her personal practice, she went on to complete her 200h Yoga teacher training with Janine Leagh, of Hot Yogi Australia, and has been teaching yoga ever since.
Domna's background in holistic counselling and psychotherapy forms the basis of her personal practice and comes through in her teaching, as she brings gentle awareness to the mind and its power. Domna teaches that in order to expand our conscious awareness, we need to overcome the limitations of our own thinking patterns and become masters of our own minds.
Domna teaches Hatha Vinyasa yoga, which is an active form of holding poses and flowing through different sequences with each breath. There is always an element of Yin yoga to decompress the body and relax the mind afterwards.
Domna also teaches children's yoga classes, which are centered around having fun, connecting positively with one's self and others, while learning and benefiting from the basic techniques of yoga.
"Life is a teacher and if we are open to its lessons, especially the challenging ones, personal growth can be an ongoing journey of self transformation."
