Welcome to Body Awakenings, my name is Rachael Farrelly and I am passionate about providing a space and practice where every person that visits this studio feels welcome and supported. I hope that your experience with us is one in which you can learn more about building a state of health and well-being through breath focus techniques, mindfulness and the physical practice of yoga. I believe yoga is for every body type, age and level of fitness. Beginners can attend all our classes as our experienced teaching can provide modifications for each student in our small group setting. We frequently hold beginners workshops and can notify you of the next date.

Sally is a qualified nurse and midwife who has specialised in child and family health, working with children and families in various settings for over 33 years. Sally discovered her passion for yoga and mindfulness after attending prenatal classes while she was pregnant with her first son, Jack, 26 years ago. She found the practice of yoga beneficial in so many facets of her life - improved sleep, better posture, less aches and pains, able to deal with stress more effectively, and an overall feeling of well-being – that she has continued her personal practice to today. Sally has developed a natural, nurturing approach to supporting children and families, which has flowed into her yoga practice and teaching. She is dedicated to enhancing the parent-child bond and has facilitated Infant Massage classes for parents since 2012. She is an accredited facilitator of the Circle of Security and Tuning into Kids programs, which empower parents to tune into the emotional world of their child, to see the world through the eyes of their child.
Sally’s prenatal classes are designed especially for pregnancy, to help support both emotional and physical well-being - creating mind and body balance to help you feel your best throughout your pregnancy, prepare you for labour, and deepen your bond with your baby as you begin your parenting journey. Classes are designed to be both strengthening and rejuvenating, gently and safely working the muscles that support the core and pelvic floor, offering a balanced sequence of joint mobility exercises, standing yoga postures/asanas, seated asanas, hip openers, breath-work, restorative asanas and mindfulness practices.
Following the birth of your baby, Sally is happy to assist with the challenges that come with adjusting to becoming a parent, including Sleep and settling support, Infant Feeding support and enhancing Positive Relationships in your family. Sally will individualise each consultation to meet the needs of you, your partner, and your family.
