Welcome to Body Awakenings, my name is Rachael Farrelly and I am passionate about providing a space and practice where every person that visits this studio feels welcome and supported. I hope that your experience with us is one in which you can learn more about building a state of health and well-being through breath focus techniques, mindfulness and the physical practice of yoga. I believe yoga is for every body type, age and level of fitness. Beginners can attend all our classes as our experienced teaching can provide modifications for each student in our small group setting. We frequently hold beginners workshops and can notify you of the next date.

Tahnee returns again to Australia and after another year immersed in yoga life and spiritual community in the mountains of Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. She completed a further 5 month residential Yoga and Meditation Teacher Training with Las Piramides del Ka as well as attending her own retreats and then teaching for the centre. Tahnee is so grateful to be welcomed back to the beautiful Body Awakenings community and space and especially grateful for the ongoing support, guidance, opportunities and friendship of studio owner Rachael and manager Connie, it's a privilege to be a part of such a genuine, passionate and down to earth team that also lifts the spirit.
Tahnee’s background, training and formal studies in Education and Dance at the University of NSW (graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education), Exercise and Sports Science at the University of Sydney, experience as a high school teacher and training as a gymnast at the NSW State Sports Centre compliment her ability to guide the human body safely through both movement and stillness. Still it is the benefits of yoga and meditation on all levels; physical, emotional, mental and spiritual that make sharing yoga with others such an enriching experience for her.
Often incorporating pranayama, meditation and relaxation techniques, Tahnee invites people to approach classes as an opportunity to check-in, listen to, nurture and love their bodies, heart and mind in whatever way is appropriate for them in the current moment and she is so grateful she gets to share what she loves and appreciates with others.
