Candle Gazing Meditation & Yoga Nidra

Candle gazing, or Trakata, is an ancient form of meditation which uses a single object to rest your attention on to benefit the meditator with improved focus, cognition, nervous function, calming the mind to promote inner peace.

Trakata is unique in that most forms of meditation are practiced with the eyes closed. Practicing with the eyes open can be a welcome option for a person who experiences anxiety and would prefer to keep their eyes open.

In this workshop, Rachael will offer helpful tips for your own practice and then you will partake in a formal practice with the group.

Concluding the workshop/class Rachael will deliver a yoga nidra meditation (guided body meditation) that will complement and deepen your evening of mindful meditation.

There will be herbal tea on offer afterwards should you want to join. 🫖
